Pre permit processing procedure: The permit packet will be available in the Planning and Zoning Department, Assessor's Office, Road and Bridge Department and the Building Department. The packet will contain the appropriate forms as well as the specific submittal requirements of all the reviewing County Departments and Fire Districts. Upon completion of this Permit Processing Procedure, the applicant will be able to submit for the requested permit to the Building Department and/or Road and Bridge Department. Building permit requirements Elbert county sign off sheet must accompany permit applications. Applications are accepted between 8:00 am -4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. You must submit 2 sets of blueprints, 1 engineered foundation design with original wet stamp, 1 soil and percolation test with original wet stamp, name of septic installer and their Elbert county contractor number, signed ACC letter and/or stamped plans (home owners association). Incomplete applications will not be accepted or processed. Call for inspection 303-621-3140 by 3:00 pm day prior for next day inspections.
