Notices
As required by state statute, the Board of County Commissioners, as the governing body, shall designate a public place for the posting of public notices of the meetings of local public bodies, including any additional:
- Authorities
- Boards
- Commissions
- Committees
- Other advisory, policy-making, and rule-making public bodies that are established or created by the Board
By Resolution 20-01, the Elbert County Board of County Commissioners has designated the County's online Board Information page as the official public notice site. In addition to the posting of notices on the bulletin boards, the Board has also determined that the posting of legal notices on the bulletin boards located on the 1st and 2nd floors at 215 Comanche Street, Kiowa, CO is added courtesy, convenience and transparency for our citizens and taxpayers.
Newspaper of Record
The County has designated the Ranchland News as its newspaper of record for the publication of statutorily required notices and official reports. Their website is: https://www.ranchland-news.com/
