Welcome to the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is responsible for law enforcement, investigations, and detentions within Elbert County, Colorado. Elbert County covers 1,854 square miles and has approximately 23,287 residents. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office works with community members and leaders to provide protection and service to our community as a whole. By handling over 14,000 calls for service from the residents of Elbert County as well as providing mutual aid to other agencies and counties, the Sheriff’s Office protects and improves the quality of life for the citizens of the county by reducing crime.
